Iced green tea with cucumber and tarragon
Ingredients
Per 1-1.5 liters of water:
- Fresh cucumber – 1 pc.
- Estragon (tarragon) – ½ teaspoon or 1 sprig
- Green tea – 2 pinches
Steps of cooking
Cut a fresh cucumber of small size into circles and place it in a jug. The thinner the cucumber is cut, the more distinctly its flavor will appear in the drink.
Add the estragon (tarragon) to the pitcher. It is important not to overdo it, as it has a strong taste and can overpower all other flavors.
Sprigs of fresh tarragon can be found in supermarkets. Dried tarragon in bags can be found in almost any store in the spice department.
Cold green tea with cucumber and tarragon.
Pour over the water. Please note: the water must be still and purified.
Place in a dark place for 2-3 hours or refrigerate for 5-8 hours.
You can add ice if desired, and syrup or honey to sweeten the drink.
Enjoy a refreshing drink that combines sweet spice with a watermelon tinge and light acidity with floral and fresh herbaceous notes.
