Ingredients for “Cuban rice – arroz a la cubana”
- Rice ( ) – 400 gr
- Banana – 4 units
- Chicken egg – 4 units
- Sauce (tomato) – 1 tbsp.
- Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp.
- Spices (bay leaf)

Recipe for “Cuban-style rice – arroz a la cubana”
Cuban-style rice is a hearty, tasty dish without any special tricks, can be successfully prepared by a novice cook.
Pour rice into boiling salted water, boil it for 20 minutes and strain it.
Peel bananas and fry in oil until soft.
You can use ready-made tomato sauce. I make it myself: I fry onions until soft, add canned organic tomatoes, some celery or other flavorful herbs, and boil it.
I chop the vegetables with a mixer, bring to taste: salt, sugar, pepper.
Assemble all ingredients on a plate. Rice is placed tightly in a mold (if there is no mold, you can take a cup).
Turn rice on a plate, pour hot tomato sauce over it.
Fry an egg, put it beside and add banana. The dish is ready! All products must be hot, the plate warm to keep the serving temperature of the dish.
